Welcome

Getting sober is the best decision ever. It doesn’t have to be boring or difficult. Being sober will get you back to feeling like you again. You will have more time, more options, more energy and more fun. Yes, fun.

I only wish I had someone to point me in the right direction in the beginning.

The Beginning

Since 2016, I have lived and breathed sobriety. You can read my personal sober journey here.

I have kept a diary from my very first day sober and even though it was never intended to be published on here, I think it is important to share my experience so you know you are not alone in yours.

About

I am living my life sober after countless years of drinking to excess. Drinking dominated every part of my life. I drank to de-stress, I drank to celebrate, I drank to cope, I drank to socialise. Drinking was so ingrained in my life that there was no room for anything else.

I wasn’t happy with the amount I was drinking, but I just could not stop. I thought I was the only person who felt the way I did and, I thought getting sober was going to suck; so I carried on drinking. Until one day it all became too much and on the 1 April 2016 I stopped.
